CULTIVATE CULTURE
We have been called to shine the light of Jesus into a dark and hurting world. While Sundays are when we come together, we are thankful that life change isn't confined to a day or place. It's available to each of us all day, everyday. As a church, there are four key areas we feel called to cultivate as we pursue our vision of seeing every generation, ethnicity, and lifestyle join together in relentless pursuit of the life-changing power of Jesus.
Faith
2 Peter 3:18 says 'Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to him both now and forever. Amen.' (NIRV)
We believe that God wants us to know him personally. More than just checking a box or practicing religion, He wants a relationship with us. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection we were given new life and with it the promise of eternity with Him. But that promise wasn’t just for what will be someday, it is also for what can be today.
Community
Hebrews 10:24-25 says 'Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.' (NLT)
We were created for relationship; both with God and with one another. We believe that having a community to call your own is not just a good thing for your life, but a God thing. In the safety and comfort of a loving community, we can build relationships, share our dreams and passions, and support one another in times of need. There is more than strength in numbers, there is love, hope, family, and freedom.
Purpose
Ephesians 2:10 says 'For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.' (NLT)
We are all an important part of God’s plan, each with a set of gifts, characteristics, and passions that He has placed in us for a unique purpose that only we can carry out. The dreams of your childhood, the God-given talents, and the burning passion in your heart for a specific call or cause are all a part of His plan for you.
Change
Matthew 5:16 says 'In the same way, let your light shine so others can see it. Then they will see the good things you do. And they will bring glory to your Father who is in heaven.' (NIRV)
We believe that God’s greatest plan for us all is to make a difference in the lives of others and change the world for the glory of His name. When we do, the bible tells us we will experience joy. When we come together for the common purpose of shining our light into the world around us we get the chance to not simply go to church, but be the church as God intended.
