In January of this year, Pastor Zach shared the word that God had placed on his heart for Cultivate Church as we entered into 2024. After months of prayer and seeking God's direction for the new year, he shared the phrase, "Greater Promise", as he led the church through a teaching on the Prayer Of Jabez, found in

1 Chronicles 4:9-10.

There was a man named Jabez who was more honorable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful. He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.

As the year progressed, we saw God move in an overwhelming way as new ministries were birthed, lives were changed, and the possibilities of what could be for us in the city of Rock Hill became a blank canvas for God to paint a new image of his plan for us.

In 2024, we saw 16 people baptized and dozens more come to know The Lord. We launched a food and clothing ministry that would see over 2,000 served. We launched small groups and bible studies. We relaunched our Cultivate Youth ministry, and we took the ministry that we'd seen grow at our home on Saluda St and use it to impact countless lives in our out of state missions work.

As we began praying about what God would have for our church in the next year and beyond, it became increasingly clear that if we wanted to continue the work that God was doing in our city, our physical footprint would have to grow. On Sunday, October 27, Pastor Zach and the Advisory Board cast a bold new vision for what God had called us to in the next season of ministry at Cultivate Church.

In this vision casting, plans were shared for an expanded sanctuary space to accomodate our growing church body. In addition to a larger worship space, the new plan included extra bathrooms and an upgraded kitchen space to accomodate the hundreds of people we feed each month.

In praying and planning for the exciting new step for our ministry, Pastor Zach and the team realized the connection to the vision God had placed on their hearts for expansion, and the word He placed on PZ's heart at the beginning of the year as they cast the vision for a Greater Promise Pledge.

To make this vision a reality, the team shared a goal to raise $130,000.00 by Summer of 2025. As you'll see below, the building will become all that God needs it to be for the coming season of growth we know is on the way. We ask that as you look at the new vision, you will join us in praying about partnering with us as we take this bold, new journey. We know that any God-sized vision will only be made possible by a God-sized provision.

If you feel that God is calling you to partner with us in this exciting season of growth, we ask that you join us for our Greater Promise Pledge Sunday on December 15, as we turn this dream into a reality. If you'd like to learn more about how you can partner with us, take a look at a letter from Pastor Zach in the link below, or schedule a meeting with him to discuss the Greater Promise Pledge for 2025 and beyond.
